About the role

  • Come work as a Booking Clerk/Secretary with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
  • Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Booking Clerk/Secretary to join the Ambulatory Care Clerical team at Vancouver General Hospital.
  • As a Booking Clerk/Secretary, you will: Provide scheduling/booking, clerical and reception functions for the area.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain client/patient charts entering data into a computerized system and updating statistics on client/patient attendance.
  • Maintain departmental equipment, supplies and filing systems.

Requirements

  • Perform timekeeping functions for designated staff as required.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to keyboard at 40 w.p.m. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Nice to have

  • Closing Statement This position requires availability Monday to Friday for the following Shifts: 07:30-15:30, 07:45-15:45, 0800-16:00, or 09:00-17:00, with at least 3-4 days of availability per week preferred.

Compensation

  • Salary Details The salary range for this position is CAD $28.74/Hr. - CAD $28.74/Hr.
