Responsibilities
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to leadership any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
- Performs daily yard check as directed for loaded and empty trailers.
- Keeps equipment clean and orderly, assisting with general housekeeping to maintain food safety standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Experience working in a challenging environment with the ability to manage stressful situations while maintaining company guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a distribution center with an emphasis on equipment operation, material handling, and shipping/receiving, and shag truck experience.
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions, and acquire basic mathematical skills.
- Experience with material handling equipment.
- Must have a current valid driver's license.
- Experience yard switching and/or tractor trailer experience required.
- Maintain required safety and ergonomic processes to ensure a safe working environment and meet the company goal of an injury free workplace.
- Performs daily maintenance check / equipment inspection of the shag truck as required by USDOT rules and regulations.
- Must be able to spot the correct trailers in the correct docks.
- Must be courteous, cooperative, and respectful always.
Compensation
- $19k-$23k
