About the role
- Job Description: Technical Services Lab Manager Huntsman is seeking a Technical Services Lab Manager supporting the Advanced Materials Division located at the Huntsman Advanced Technology Center (HATC), Texas.
- This position will report to the Senior Technical Services Manager.
- This role is responsible for managing laboratory activities, overseeing technical service and application development projects, supporting customer engagement, and ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- The Technical Services Lab Manager leads the Advanced Materials technical service laboratory operations in the Americas.
- The position works closely with Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, and global technical teams to support product development, customer success, and market growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical leadership or supervisory role within the specialty chemicals or advanced materials industry.
- Strong technical expertise in advanced materials, including epoxy and polymer chemistry.
- You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
- Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, industrial adhesives, infrastructure coatings, or power distribution markets.
- Experience with thermoset polymers or advanced materials systems.
- Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
- Working Environment
- Laboratory-based environment located at the Huntsman Advanced Technology Center (HATC).
- Oversight of technical service and application development activities supporting multiple industries and markets.
