Responsibilities
- Performs electroencephalogram (EEG) on patients to get a recording of their brain activity through repeated cycles and notify the physician if anything appears wrong.
- Attach EEG leads to correct areas so that the reading can be performed appropriately.
- Check, test and maintain EEG equipment, making any minor adjustments to ensure proper operation.
Requirements
- Prefer associate degree from an AMA accredited institution or graduate of an approved EEG program Required
- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance
- The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.
- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) High School diploma or equivalent Required
