About the role
- Veterinary Technician Salary: $30 - $35 per hour, determined by the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
- The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Days and shift hours will vary within the hospital's operating hours.
- Caring Hands Animal Hospital at Rockville is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification is required
- Surgical experience is required.
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
- Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
