About the role
- Ciena is advancing high-speed optical networking through innovative signal processing technologies, enabling next-generation connectivity and network performance.
Responsibilities
- Design simulation models for high-speed optical modem systems
- Execute simulations and document technical results
- Develop signal processing functions using Matlab and C++ models
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to review designs
- Contribute design feedback and propose improvements to development processes
Requirements
- Working toward a Master's or post-graduate degree with a focus on digital signal processing
- Ability to operate both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of optical system components including DAC/ADC, amplifiers, IIR/FIR filters, equalizers, feedback loops, lasers, modulators, optical hybrids, and fiber systems

Compensation
- The pay range for this position is $27.00-43.00/hour
