- Tessera is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Boiler Technician with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance on boiler equipment and systems.
- Maintain low-pressure boilers, high-pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers, or hot water heating systems.
- Clean and maintain mechanical rooms as needed.
- Remove blockage from drain lines, both interior and exterior sewers within 5 feet of the building, floor drains, fan coil units, air handling units, stacks, vents, and storm drainage systems.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
- Maintain and update required records for boiler operations.
- Must have a good knowledge of commercial plumbing and be able to use hand tools, power tools, and appliances required for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures and pipes.
- Municipality of Anchorage boiler operator license required.
- State of Alaska boiler operator license required (Must be Fireman or Apprentice level boiler operator license).
- Third, Second, or First-Class boiler operator license preferred.
- Alaska certificate of fitness required.
- Must have a knowledge of plumbing codes.
- Physical Requirements:
- Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Compensation
- $50.49 - $50.49 per hour
