About the role
- This faculty position will have clinical and research responsibilities within the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- This individual will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Hematology, with focus on the care and treatment of patients with classical hematology.
- This includes outpatient care, as well as inpatient attending responsibilities for the division and on inpatient units at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and develop clinical and translational trials related to the treatment of classical hematology.
- This individual should be motivated to support the research mission of the Department of Medicine and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center to advance patient care for the patients of South Florida and beyond.
Requirements
- should include a demonstrated track record of excellence in patient care, peer-reviewed publications and the potential to serve as principal investigator of cutting-edge clinical trials for patients.
- M.D., Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology is required.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, in teaching, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
