About the role

- Assess large and multi-layered datasets to identify market opportunities, risks, and emerging trends across mortgages and fixed income markets.
- Work with traders, salespeople, other research teams, and clients to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures..
- They may also lead a number of specialists to influence the operations of a department, in alignment with strategic as well as tactical priorities, while balancing short and long term goals and ensuring that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements..

Requirements
- In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Ample communication, presentation, and writing skills with the ability to effectively communicate highly detailed market views
- Demonstrated experience in mortgages, RMBS/MBS, fixed income investing, or related markets
- Attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced, market-driven environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data evaluation, automation, and research applications
- Experience leveraging data science, analytics, or AI tools to improve research workflows and investment processes
