Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback of a distributed team across two offices.
- Assign people to tasks and manage workloads to ensure timely project completion.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components for our application.
- Support systems engineering requirements.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards in all engineering activities.

- Capella is looking for an energetic Senior Electrical Engineer Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing a team of electrical engineers who design, develop, and test electrical systems and components.
- This team contains a variety of engineering disciplines that design and develop the satellite and payload systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs and systems in a hardware R&D lab environment, with 4 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in aerospace systems, or similar high reliability industry, and components is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Understanding of hardware evaluation methodologies, including development of test cases/suites, performance analysis, test automation, and data analysis
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- a Master's degree or higher is preferred.
Skills
- Extensive experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and other test equipment
- Experience with I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
- Experience designing modern analog and digital electronics
- Experience in PCB schematic capture & layout
- Experience with Altium designer tools or other similar electronic CAD tools
- Experience designing high reliability systems
- Knowledge of the PCBA fabrication and assembly process
- Familiarity with PLM tools and strong revision control practices
- Ability to work autonomously by determining and evaluating different courses of action independently
- Strong technical communication skills to be used in a highly collaborative environment

Compensation
- The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $ 192,979 - $ 220,000.
- The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
