About the role

  • Define and uphold a robust testing strategy across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain horizontally scalable backend systems using TypeScript and Go to support millions of concurrent users.
  • Develop GraphQL and REST APIs powering our iOS, Android, and web clients.
  • Lead features through the full lifecycle - from ideation and design to implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and client engineers to translate product requirements into scalable and performant backend solutions.
  • AI is used only to support our team's efficiency and improve the candidate experience - not to evaluate or decide on your candidacy.
  • As a member of the BFF/Plans backend team, you'll play a key role in building and scaling the services that power this experience.
  • You'll work across TypeScript and Go, developing and maintaining GraphQL/REST APIs to serve millions of users.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Go.
  • Deep knowledge of testing best practices and frameworks.
  • Experience owning features end-to-end, from conception, through development, to production.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or similar) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
