About the role

WCWPDS-UWM is a partnership between the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at UW Milwaukee, UW Madison, and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
The Director oversees strategic and substantive program planning, contracting, and fiscal management of WCWPDS-UWM and actively pursues additional funding that aligns with WCWPDS strategic plans.
Hybrid work options may be available after the initial training period.

Identify and secure the financial and technical resources needed to support plans and initiatives
Lead a 25-person team, including six direct reports
Develop and lead the management team
Lead ongoing growth and continuous improvement of professional development offerings
Develop and manage ongoing collaborations with local, statewide, and national agencies and organizations
Collaborate with academic partners in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare and the Institute for Child and Family Well-Being within the College of Community Engagement & Professions.
Develop and oversee fiscal processes and reporting in compliance with UWM policies and contractual requirements
Community and Partner Collaboration
Develops and monitors the budget

Master's degree and at least three years of leadership experience OR Bachelor's degree and at least five years of leadership experience
Experience supervising professional staff
Experience with developing grants, budget planning, and financial reporting

Master's of Social Work
Experience working for or with leadership in public and/or private social service agencies
Experience with strategic planning
Strong written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by application materials

Target salary range is $115-125K, Final salary offer will be determined based on qualifications and experience
Direct planning and operations for all contracted professional services serving approximately 10,000 end-users annually
Lead annual and multiyear strategic planning processes
Develop an annual budget (approximately $4 million) aligned with strategic priorities
