  • As a Senior Level Field Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring seamless deployments, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving the evolution of customer networks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Tier 1 technical support for deployment services projects, ensuring seamless network transformation and modernization for US Federal Government customers.
  • Draft and implement network test plans and non-intrusive Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to ensure stable network operations.
  • Perform network audits, architecture design, and modernization planning to evolve customer networks via the EMOP process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to recommend enhancements to field deployment processes and drive improvements through Right First Time initiatives.

Requirements

  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-12 years of experience in telecom installation, provisioning, testing, live network migration, and consulting.

Compensation

  • The annual pay range for this position in the USA is $96,900 - $154,700 USD.
  • Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.

  • Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
