Responsibilities

  • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintains professional composure, thinks clearly, quickly assesses and evaluates situations, organizes thoughts, and responds quickly in emergency and stressful situations and effectively coordinates transport duties.

  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships and communicates clearly with general public, referring facility personnel and Transport department personnel.
  • The Transport Paramedic is skilled in advanced life support.
  • The Transport Paramedic will be able to function as part of a team, assuming the lead role, to ensure safety of patients and staff.

Requirements

  • National Certification (FP-C, CCP-C, C-NPT) must be obtained within 1 year post orientation.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • employees will perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate Transport Supervisor and/or Transport Director as required.
  • Assists in skills check list completion and signs off on required skills check-off.

Nice to have

  • Has a minimum of three years' experience in 911/Critical Care or Emergency Medicine.
  • Neonatal or Pediatric Emergency Room/ICU/PICU experience preferred.
  • Flight Experience a plus.
