About the role

  • Will work between multiple stores in the district.
  • Starting pay range: $17.00-$19.00 The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of one or more self-storage locations, under the guidance of the District Manager and Store Manager.
  • Extra Space Storage is the largest self storage company in the United States by store count, with over 4,000 stores nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • This role ensures the facility meets high cleanliness standards and consistently delivers operational excellence.
  • The Assistant Managers are accountable for building customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, presenting a structured sales process, and managing customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of customer-facing work experience.
  • Regularly required to lift or move items up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Sales experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required
