  • What You'll Accomplish
  • Get to know the team as well as the systems currently in place for recording and reconciling bank activity. Once fully onboarded, the role will transition to identifying and implementing any opportunities to increase efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Review monthly bank activity following proper internal control procedures to record and report accurate cash flows and assets in general ledger as well as manage abandoned property procedures for outstanding checks issued to vendors and employees.
  • Reconcile and analyze monthly general ledger accounts in Financial Edge to ensure transactions are accurate and properly recorded and to ensure the accuracy and completeness of bank statement data on the Museum's books. Submit reconciliations for monthly review by Manager.
  • Assist the Controller and Manager in the annual financial statement audit in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles to ensure accuracy of statements for use by the management, trustees, and outside agencies.
  • Engage in cross training within department and act as primary backup to functions assigned by Manager.
