About the role
- Ensure solutions follow enterprise standards for security, scalability, availability, logging, monitoring, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and related frameworks.
- Design and implement scalable data solutions using Amazon Redshift and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex database logic using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
- Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Support data ingestion, transformation, integration, and distribution patterns across enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with business, data management, architecture, and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
- Support production incidents, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and ongoing operational improvements.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, EC2, and Lambda functions.
- Experience working with Amazon Redshift for data warehousing and analytics workloads.
- Experience working with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL or PostgreSQL-based relational databases.
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data quality, metadata, and enterprise data management concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot application, data, and infrastructure issues across distributed systems.
- The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java enterprise development, AWS microservices, Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQL/PLSQL, GitLab, and Terraform.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms or regulated business environments.
- Familiarity with data governance, reference data, golden record management, survivorship rules, and data stewardship workflows.
- Experience with API-based data distribution and service-oriented architecture.
- Knowledge of AWS monitoring, logging, and security patterns.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams with product owners, architects, engineers, and operations teams.
