About the role

  • The vehicles are type C built over a Freightliner chassis, type D with front and rear engine variants built over Thomas chassis, and type A minibuses built over Ford and General Motors chassis.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering techniques and principles to design and develop school bus interior/exterior body components.
  • Apply CAD principles to develop 3D models, installations drawings and Bills of Materials.
  • Promptly resolve product build issues.
  • Interface with Test & Compliance personnel to prototype new systems, perform development testing and apply test results to new designs.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering OR an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of related experience OR 6+ years of design engineering experience required
  • Experience with 3D CAD design required (Creo preferred)
  • An attached resume is required

Compensation

  • Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 - $110,000 USD
