About the role

  • Manage overall supplier relationships, performance, and development timelines, resolving critical issues that arise.
  • Manage supplier development and parts availability for prototype builds and production ramp, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any supply constraints.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Serve as the primary commercial contact for strategic suppliers. Manage overall supplier relationships, performance, and development timelines, resolving critical issues that arise.
  • Program Management: Manage supplier development and parts availability for prototype builds and production ramp, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any supply constraints.
  • Develop and execute the global commodity strategy for Thermal systems.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is preferred.
  • 8-15 years of progressive, hands-on experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain, with deep expertise in Thermal Management systems (e.g., Battery Cooling, HVAC, FECM, Fluid Transfer Systems).
  • Expert knowledge of component manufacturing processes and sophisticated cost-modeling techniques.
  • Extensive experience with automotive part launches and serial production, with a strong understanding of product development and quality processes (APQP, PPAP).
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and external supplier leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
