About the role

  • The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.
  • Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or General Management required. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a financial management operations environment in the government and/or private sector. Responsibilities

  • The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or General Management required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a financial management operations environment in the government and/or private sector.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Government Financial Manager, and/or other related professional certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in asset management, audit, financial reporting, compliance, or risk management preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years progressive supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skill, and Ability (KSA)
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable Federal standards, laws, regulations, and policies affecting the financial management of the House.
  • Ability to interpret and translate complex financial information into a useful knowledge base to educate the House community.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, including asset disposal management, asset receiving and processing management, and inventory/data reconciliation.
  • Ability to ensure quality control.

Compensation

  • $122k-$135k

  • Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only)
