About the role

  • We're seeking a hands-on, technically versatile Application Integration Engineer to join our growing team.
  • This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of prototyping, deployment, and field testing.
  • This role is an elevated pathway for high-performing technical staff with proven aptitude in mechatronics, system configuration, and cross-functional problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain ATI's vehicle configuration library, ensuring reliable system operation across a wide range of vehicle make/models/trim.
  • Validate and improve configuration performance, incorporating version control and scalable update methods.
  • Define and advocate for new features in tools and software to support scalability and fleet consistency.
  • Document and lead troubleshooting procedures across robotic subsystems.
  • Design and fabricate custom tools, fixtures, and hardware to improve safety, repeatability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to resolve system interface and performance issues.
  • Lead assembly of robotic systems end-to-end: Log engineering change orders (ECOs), document redlines, and suggest DFM/DFA improvements.
  • Apply best practices in system build, cable management, harnessing, and enclosure design.
  • Support the commission and go-live of deployed robot(s) at customer sites.
  • Conduct field diagnostics and data collection to drive iterative improvements: Identify critical spare parts, consumables, and recurring failure modes.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in automotive tire change and wheel balancing.

Skills

  • 8+ years hands-on experience configuring electro-mechanical systems in a real-world setting.
  • Skilled in electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and root cause troubleshooting.
