About the role
- We have an amazing opportunity for an energetic, analytical, and detail-oriented accountant to join our team and push renewable energy forward.
- We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented, and analytically strong accounting leader to help scale Wunder's finance function as we accelerate the growth of distributed renewable energy.
- You'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of our financial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Manage accounting across multiple project-level entities (SPVs)
- Design and implement scalable financial processes, controls, and systems
- Partner cross-functionally with investment, asset management, and operations teams
- Wunder is actively developing hundreds of commercial solar projects across the country.
Requirements
- As Director of Accounting, you'll oversee core accounting operations and build the systems, processes, and controls required for a rapidly scaling renewable platform.
- You're Inquisitive & Autonomous - You have an inquisitive auditor mind willing to "figure things out" and you enjoy working autonomously.
- There's a lot going on any given day and success in this role will require a high degree of organization, ability to stay on top of changing goals and priorities, and strong project management skills.
Compensation
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
