Responsibilities
- Build and maintain internal tooling and infrastructure for report generation, test dashboards, traceability, quality metrics, and system observability.
- Integrate AI-assisted development workflows into daily engineering practice, including prompt design, evaluation, and optimization for code generation, test creation, triage, documentation, and developer support tools.
- Create scalable Python-based systems and automations using modern best practices, including static analysis, linting, unit testing, and maintainable software design.
- Drive tooling solutions that improve collaboration and handoffs across teams, helping unify workflows between firmware, applications, mobile, cloud, and test engineering.
- Participate in peer code reviews and technical design discussions, providing thoughtful feedback and helping maintain a high bar for quality, reliability, and
- 5+ years of professional experience in software design and development of tools, automation, and infrastructure supporting quality engineering, CI/CD, and embedded software or firmware development.
- A strong passion for building tooling that improves developer velocity, engineering quality, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements
- Strong professional proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience building internal tools, test frameworks, automation systems, and engineering productivity workflows.
- Proficiency with modern version control systems, especially Git.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with AI developer tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Gemini is a plus.
- Experience interfacing with hardware using protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, and JTAG
- familiarity with automotive systems and protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, and UDS is a plus.
- Experience with modern Python tooling such as uv, ruff, ty, and pyright is a plus.
Compensation
- The salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
