- This critical role is responsible for the P&L for the Aislelabs Engineering division, including DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Aislelabs is a global SaaS and data intelligence business enabling enterprises to convert their physical environments into lasting, data driven initiatives that support revenue growth.
- Director of Engineering, you will be accountable for the performance, scalability, and evolution of the engineering organization-setting technical direction, developing leaders, and partnering with the business to deliver sustainable, capital efficient growth.
- Collaborate with Product Management to validate the Engineering release schedules based on approved product priorities, accounting for available capacity velocity
- Assign and support all engineering assignments, tracking against the Roadmap and aligning with approved shifts in priority.
- Collaborate with the Aislelabs Leadership Team to address escalated customer issues, delivery concerns and provide input on key decisions
- Manage and coach a team, consisting of DevOps engineers, software development and QA engineers located in Canada and India.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or 10 years of relevant software development leadership experience including managing software system deployments.
- Experience leading a team of 8+ engineers and DevOps staff
- Experience solving complex business solutions with technology.
- Experience with AI-first design and development practices
- Proven success driving growth, profitability and process efficiencies within a technology company or division.
- Minimum of 4 years successfully delivering a mixture of small, medium, and large projects software deliverables.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces and reports.
- Oversee the system administration of Jira for the Engineering division, ensuring development and QA estimates are generated as required for planning purposes.

- Oversee the DevOps function for our self-hosted server infrastructure powering global app access.
Compensation
- Complete an annual strategy planning exercise for the Engineering division as part of the company-wide Strategy Plan.
