Responsibilities
- 5282 - Information Technology Support Engineer
- Leads the automation, installation, configuration, documentation, troubleshooting and maintenance of ITD assets;
- Participates on Microsoft Teams to drive standardization and strategic implementations;
- The Pima County Information Technology Department is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented IT Support Engineer with experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure environments.
- In this role, you'll help develop architectures for implementation, support, and maintenance of critical on-premises and cloud-based systems that serve Pima County operations both internal and public facing.
- Candidates must obtain and maintain Arizona Criminal Justice Information System (ACJIS) certification before completing the training period.
- Maintains detailed records of equipment deployment, configurations, and any issues encountered during the process;
- Maintains open communication with various stakeholders, including IT teams, department heads, and end-users;
- Leads and participates in support for all types of tickets received by ITD: resolving problems, creating new capabilities, etc.;
Requirements
- Will require the ability to identify industry standard color-coding of electrical wiring and components.
- Frequently required to lift, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Supports Pima County users regarding communications projects, ensuring they receive the required information to complete tasks efficiently and within budget;
- Valid driver license is required at time of application.
- Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment.
- Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination.

- Minimum two (2) years experience and/or academic study of study of Active Directory administration including Group Policy, DNS, or NTFS.
- Minimum two (2) years experience and/or academic study of with knowledge of Exchange Online administration.
- Minimum two (2) years experience and/or academic study of certificates and/or Enterprise PKI.
- Minimum two (2) years experience and/or academic study of Microsoft365 administration, architecture, and/or implementation.

Skills
- Within the centralized Information Technology Department (ITD);
- Prepares reports on logistics performance, cost savings, and efficiency improvements;
- Will work in an office environment.
- Will need to travel to different locations, including client sites, project sites.
- The County's technical environment is a cutting-edge private cloud, eventually to be extended into hosted clouds.
Compensation
- $72,009 - $100,817 Annually
- Hiring Range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
- Pay Range is the entire compensation range for the position.
