About the role

  • Evaluate received materials for conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in supplier quality investigations and corrective actions as requested.
  • Review Device History Records (DHR), production travelers, routers, inspection reports, and manufacturing records for completeness and accuracy where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • First-pass yield support
  • Maintain inventory and status of all inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IM&TE).
  • Perform receiving inspection of purchased materials, components, subassemblies, and services according to approved inspection plans, specifications, drawings, purchase orders, and quality requirements.
  • Document inspection results and disposition incoming materials within ERP/MRP systems and quality electronic records.
  • Identify, document, segregate, and process nonconforming materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, functional, and documentation inspections using approved inspection methods and equipment.
  • Ensure inspection and test records are complete, accurate, and maintained according to document retention requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Verify supplier documentation including Certificates of Conformance (CoC), Certificates of Analysis (CoA), material certifications, calibration certificates, and other required quality records.
  • Education and Experience
  • Medical device, aerospace, electronics, instrumentation, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Quality Systems
  • Understanding of nonconformance control, CAPA, risk-based thinking, and document control principles.
  • Inspection and Measurement
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficient in dimensional inspection methods and inspection techniques.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Technical Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Experience administering calibration or metrology programs preferred.
  • Internal auditor experience preferred.

Skills

Compensation

  • The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
  • Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
  • $50,600.00-$67,500.000
