About the role

  • Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will influence technical decisions, establish best practices, and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on in complex implementations.
  • You will contribute to digital transformation initiatives for global organizations, helping shape innovative customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive solution architecture for Adobe Experience Manager Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services implementations.
  • Lead backend architecture decisions, API strategies, integrations, and technical design reviews.
  • Develop and guide AEM backend solutions using technologies such as Sling Models, OSGi services, custom workflows, Content Fragment Models, and GraphQL APIs.
  • Design and support headless and omnichannel architectures across multiple digital channels.
  • Implement and oversee integrations with CRM, PIM, DAM, marketing technology, and identity platforms.
  • Mentor backend engineers, support technical planning, and promote knowledge sharing within teams.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineering professional with strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in software engineering, with proven experience in senior technical leadership roles.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • 4+ years working with AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services.
  • Strong expertise in Java (11+/17), Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak, and AEM Core Components.
  • Experience with Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, Universal Editor, and modern headless delivery models.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and release management tools such as Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with observability tools, Infrastructure as Code practices, and Dispatcher/CDN optimization.
  • Strong understanding of security practices, including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, Adobe IMS, secrets management, and secure API design.
  • Experience optimizing application performance through caching strategies, query tuning, and indexing.
