Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement the project-specific Electrical QA/QC plan in alignment with client specifications, IEC/IEEE standards, NFPA 70 (NEC), and local codes
- Review design drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical submittals for compliance prior to installation
- Develop, manage, and execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for MV/LV electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, busways, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, and BMS interfaces
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical installations including cable containment, cabling, terminations, labeling, and equipment installation
- Coordinate and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for critical electrical systems
- Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, inspection records, and turnover dossiers for client handover and regulatory compliance
- Work closely with construction, commissioning, and EHS teams to resolve field quality issues and support punch list closure
- Support commissioning activities including pre-functional checklists, redline drawing validation, and energization walkdowns
- Support internal and external quality audits in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements
- Deliver toolbox talks and support training for subcontractors on quality standards and best practices
Requirements
- Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including MV/LV switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, busways, grounding systems, and BMS interfaces
- Proficiency in QA/QC documentation systems, ITPs, and turnover processes
- Journeyman Electrical License or Electrical Craft Certification required (or equivalent field experience)
- OSHA 10 Certification required
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred but not required
Skills
