About the role

  • GENERAL LABORER: This is a non-exempt position under the FLSA.
  • Purpose: Provide general labor services to warehouse, paint shop, mechanical, welding and electrical personnel as needed.
  • Typical activities: Loads, transports and unloads materials, supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form as well as use or hand tools and small power tools.
  • The worker must be able to move around on foot
  • The dexterous use of both hand and both arms is required to operate the tools and equipment used in the work.
  • The worker is required to see well naturally or with correction and must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to her/himself and/or others.
  • The description shall not, however, be construed as a complete listing of all miscellaneous, incidental or similar duties which may be required from day to day.
  • This is heavy work requiring constant exertion of 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push or pull objects
  • frequent exertion of 25 to 50 pounds of force
  • and occasional exertion of 50 to 100 pounds of force. The worker must be able to move around on foot
  • walk on uneven surfaces
  • stand constantly on a hard surface

  • Due to the contractual nature of our work, time is of the essence. The scheduling, completion, and delivery of the work make regular attendance an essential requirement of the job.
