About the role

Establish a foundational relationship with the participant (adult w/disabilities).
Learn participant's routines, including medical appointments and hygiene habits.
Display comfort in providing behavioral interventions.

Enhance both their life and yours by helping them connect with their community, build relationships, and participate in activities that bring joy and purpose.
Gain an understanding of participant's goals and begin to implement activities to help them achieve those goals.

Flexibility to provide consistent and structured support.
Support mobility and transfers
Support evacuations and safety procedures
Maintain CPR certification and be able to perform CPR on the ground

Good sense of humor, patience, strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and organizational skills.
Physical ability to assist individuals with activities of daily living including mobility, transfers, and personal care.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform bending, kneeling, reaching, and other physical tasks necessary to support individuals safely in the home and community.

Experience with behavioral interventions and community-based activities.

The individual will be living in your home, so you will be responsible for providing or coordinating their care at all times.
Daily rate compensation with the potential to earn $2,400 - $7,000 per month, tax-exempt income as an independent contractor.
NOTE: Payment from SSSC is dependent upon (or fails to) complete the required paperwork needed for eligibility, resulting in SSSC not receiving necessary funds, SSSC will be unable to pay provider for services rendered.

Prior experience in caregiving or similar roles is preferred.
