About the role

- The Director of Simulation Education (DSE) will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the skills and simulation curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Obtain training in curriculum design and teaching methods for simulation.
- Become familiar with the simulation lab equipment at the School of Medicine and resources to optimize the simulation/skills curriculum.
- Serve as course director and instructor for core simulation courses, develop course content, student evaluation methods and tools, and manage grading.
- Manage, organize, and order instructional supplies and task trainers with the Program Director.
- This position plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality clinical experiences and maintaining strong relationships with clinical partners and preceptors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years full-time clinical experience as a CAA.
- Graduate of an accredited Master's Anesthesiologist Assistant program
- Certification through NCCAA.
