About the role
- Essential Functions: - Ability to work on a computer for extended periods. - Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews and DFM/DFA workshops to ensure product architecture is fully optimized for manufacturing and assembly.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of complex tooling, from initial concept and design to fabrication, validation, and implementation on the production floor.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices in tooling design, process validation, and manufacturing engineering principles.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and process documentation.
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
- Experience with new product introduction and transition to production.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes.
- Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB).
- Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.

- $85,768.30 - $117,931.40.
