About the role
- POS-20403 We're seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team!
- Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

Responsibilities
- Propose and implement process improvements, including thoughtful use of AI and automation, to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
- Perform month end closing activities and reconciliations for various accounts/processes.
- Be cross trained in most staff accountant areas to create leverage on the team
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile account balances, ensuring to maintain accurate supporting records and documentation
- Prepare documentation/support needed for SOX compliance
- Self-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently, identify process improvements, and implement solutions

- If you join our broader Product team, you'll also attend other in-person events, such as your Product Group Summit and other gatherings, to continue building on those connections.
Requirements
- If you are joining our Engineering team, you will be required to attend a regional HubSpot office for in-person onboarding.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Excel is required, NetSuite, FloQast and Coupa a plus
Compensation
- $64,000 - $96,000 USD

- We're seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team!
- As a Staff Accountant, you will not only be responsible for helping the accounting team close the books on a monthly basis and report timely and accurate financial results for the company but you will also be involved in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.
- You'll work directly on the core accounting team, and be a business partner to the tax, accounts payable, technical accounting/financial reporting, and financial planning & analysis teams.
