About the role
- VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare.
- Job Description This is a Per Diem role, with a minimum commitment of only 4 scheduled shifts per month!
- As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician.
Responsibilities

- We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting.
Requirements
- PICC Line insertion experience required.
- If you are looking for a change and tired of 12 hours on your feet or rushing from patient to patient with no time to provide quality care, this would be the perfect opportunity for you.
- In this role, Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs.
- Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound.
Nice to have
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care preferred
Compensation
- is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
- Place PICCs, midlines and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.
- Assist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices.
- Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.
- Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's
- Registered Nurse with current license
