- Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Network Engineer - Level 2 or 3 to join our team based in the Aurora, Colorado area at Buckley SFB.
Responsibilities
- The work involves installs, design, configurations, monitoring, and maintenance of network hardware and software to ensure network availability to system users.
- You may work alongside other network support and client server specialists to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
- You'll provide support to projects involving networks, by helping them connect to the network and troubleshooting issues they may have.
- You will develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of the network.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of Network Engineering experience
- Master's degree with 0 years of Network Engineering experience
- Associate's degree with 4 years of Network Engineering experience
- or a HS diploma/GED with 6 years of Network Engineering experience
- Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Network Engineering experience
- Master's degree with 3 years of Network Engineering experience
- PhD and 0 years of Network engineering experience.
- Associate's degree with 7 years of Network Engineering experience
- or a HS diploma/GED with 9 years of Network Engineering experience
Nice to have
- At least 6 years of Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment demonstrating a strong proficiency
- Experience working with worldwide enterprise networks
- Experience working with classified level enterprise networks
- Ability to effectively write technical documentation
- Experience sharing knowledge, mentoring, and working in a collaborative environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds (yet such is in-frequent)
- Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
Compensation
- $83,400.00 - $125,200.00
- $103,600.00 - $155,400.00
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
- Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
