About the role
- Factory is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to help build and operate the internal technology foundation for a fast-growing engineering organization.

Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day IT operations across Okta, Google Workspace, GitHub, Slack, Rippling, and related SaaS systems.
- Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, access reviews, email, groups, and device setup.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot employee laptops, with a focus on macOS and occasional Windows support.
- Support endpoint management, device compliance, MFA, password policies, and other security controls.
- Maintain accurate IT inventory, documentation, support tickets, and repeatable operational workflows.
- Partner with Security and Engineering on access requests, GitHub administration, SaaS approvals, and infrastructure-related IT changes.
- Coordinate with vendors, external partners, and internal stakeholders to keep IT operations running smoothly.
- In this role, you will own the systems, devices, access controls, and workflows that keep our team productive and secure, from onboarding and offboarding to SaaS administration, endpoint management, and internal IT automation.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Okta, Google Workspace, GitHub, Slack, MDM, and other common business software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- 3+ years of IT support, helpdesk, or systems administration experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of macOS environments, with occasional Windows support.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- This is an in-office position (5 days/week) in San Francisco (walking distance to Caltrain)
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.
