Responsibilities
- Assess impacts of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) / EMP on shipboard configurations and systems, perform EMP risk impacts and mission analysis.
- Plan and participate in EMP testing for Low Level Continuous Wave (LLCW) technology demonstration; perform data acquisition and analysis; refine LLCW Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform EMP research, analysis, requirements definition and development, assessments, test and evaluation.
- Develops technical and operational conclusions and write technical reports that meet sponsor requirements.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience in Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP)
- Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance.
- Experience in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) engineering, research, test and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience developing and validating Electromagnetic (EM) survivability requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
- Demonstrated experience testing at a variety of EMC / EMP test facilities / capabilities including Mode Stirred chamber, Horizontally Polarized, Vertically Polarized and Bounded Wave simulators.
- Demonstrated ability to collect test data, conduct detailed analysis, provide risk to mission analysis and dependency analysis, develop technical and operational conclusions, and write technical reports that meet Sponsor requirements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
Compensation
