About the role
- Hybrid in Charleston, SC Schedule: Flexible hours Engagement: PT, FT, Contract; Possible equity.
- Heirloom helps families rescue, organize, and enjoy their most meaningful memories—digitizing tapes, film, and photos into a private, secure home for stories. We're building delightful mobile and web experiences that make sharing memories simple, safe, and emotionally resonant.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end product experiences for mobile and web: flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and clickable prototypes in Figma.
- Build and maintain a design system (components, variants, auto-layout, tokens) for speed and consistency.
- Prototype and validate: run quick tests, incorporate feedback, and iterate with data.
- Partner with engineering: deliver clean specs via Figma Dev Mode, redlines, and handoff notes
- support implementation and QA.
- Tell the story: document decisions, present work to stakeholders, and advocate for the customer.
- Experience collaborating with engineers (design specs, dev handoff, feasibility).
- Working knowledge of platform patterns (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design) and responsive web.

- We're looking for a product-minded UI/UX Designer with deep Figma expertise to own end-to-end design for both mobile (iOS/Android) and web.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with media management UX (galleries, viewers, timelines, reels).
- Experience in consumer subscriptions, onboarding, and payments.
- We welcome contractors, part-time, or full-time
