About the role

  • We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop advanced humanoid robots.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design, system integration, and GD&T based on ASME Y14.5, along with experience in optimizing robotic systems for performance and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop components for humanoid robots (e.g., frames, actuators, joints) using CAD software, applying GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5) to ensure precision and manufacturability.
  • Design robotic linkages and mechanisms with a focus on efficient motion and performance optimization.
  • Lead the prototyping phase, utilizing tools like 3D printing and CNC machining to validate designs.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, conducting risk assessments and applying necessary safety features.
  • Perform mechanical testing to verify design performance and durability.
  • Strong background in mechanical design, statics, dynamics, and material science.
  • Skilled in CAD tools (SolidWorks), with the ability to apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5) to designs.
  • Hands-on experience building and testing prototypes.
  • Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives.
