About the role

- What We Want The Department of Residence Life is looking for student-centered, dedicated, and growth-minded professionals for our residential communities.
Responsibilities
- Advise and develop Community Council leaders, collaborate with campus partners, and assess resident needs through surveys.
- Enforce university and housing policies, manage student conduct, respond to concerns and critical incidents, and connect residents with support resources.
- Recruit, supervise, train, develop, and evaluate Resident Advisors and assigned staff.
- Conduct regular meetings, manage staff schedules and performance, ensure training completion, and coordinate with HR on accountability matters.
- Serve as liaison for camps and conferences, coordinating with campus partners and sponsors to support operations.
- Manage building access, safety inspections, fire drills, facilities concerns, and housing assignments.
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, process payroll and purchasing activities, and support departmental communications.
- Our Community Managers are provided the training and opportunity to support and develop communities that promote academic success and student engagement.
Requirements
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Provide staff support, coordinate with emergency responders, complete required documentation, and ensure adherence to duty protocols.
- Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One year in student affairs work or related specialty.
- Ability to act independently and react appropriately in crisis situations and maintain confidentiality.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in student affairs, counseling, or related field.
- Previous year of full-time (or two years part-time) residence hall experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with mediation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated professional maturity, leadership and decision-making abilities.

Compensation
- $51,750 (plus paid duty $125/night, $875/week), Furnished Apartment (included all utilities, TV, and wired/wireless internet), wellness and educational release time options, potential AWL eligibility, and $3,000 in Professional Development Funds (pending budget approval).
- 12-15 days of annual paid holidays
