About the role
- This role is responsible for the overall technical delivery, quality, team leadership, and business development of substation, BESS, microgrid, and other utility-scale power engineering services across utility, renewable, data center, and industrial markets.
- The Power Engineering Manager will serve as the senior technical and operational leader for DLB's growing Power Engineering practice, partnering with executive leadership to shape the strategic direction, growth, and long-term success of the service line.
- The Power Engineering Manager will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.

- DLB is expanding its substation and grid integration engineering practice and is seeking a Power Engineering Manager to lead, grow, and manage this service line.

- Job Summary DLB is expanding its substation and grid integration engineering practice and is seeking a Power Engineering Manager to lead, grow, and manage this service line.
- This role is responsible for leading engineering teams, driving strategic initiatives, supporting organizational planning, and developing the people, processes, and technical capabilities necessary to scale the practice.
- Support adoption of emerging technologies -- including advanced analytics, data visualization tools, and digital construction management platforms -- to strengthen readiness, quality assurance, and project controls.

Requirements
- The Power Engineering Manager operates with a high degree of autonomy, receiving strategic direction from executive leadership.
- Minimum 5 years in an engineering management, practice leadership, or department director role.
- Direct experience with LGIA/SGIA processes and utility interconnection requirements.
Nice to have
- PLUS 15+ years of progressive power engineering experience with demonstrated leadership of substation, BESS, or grid integration projects.
- Preferred / Strong Plus Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administration (MBA).
