Responsibilities
- Contractor sets own working hours and methods, subject to reasonable responsiveness to clients and Seso colleagues.
Requirements
- Seso provides access to required systems (Salesforce, Applied Epic / EZLynx) during the term.
- Active P&C insurance broker license in good standing (contractor maintains license and continuing education independently)
- 5+ years of P&C brokerage experience with strong command of workers compensation coverage, exposures, and markets
- Active Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance coverage
- Engagement Terms
- Classification: Independent contractor (1099). Not an employee
- not eligible for Seso employee benefits, equity, PTO, or other employment-related considerations.
- Compensation: Hourly, paid on an invoiced basis. Rate commensurate with experience.
- Expected hours: Flexible, with scope and timing set by mutual agreement. Contractor is free to engage with other clients.
Nice to have
- Process endorsement requests and ensure timely, accurate policy updates.
- Process client requests for certificates of insurance, endorsements, and other policy-service inquiries.
- Log activity in Seso's systems for accurate records.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core insurance principles and structures, with ability to explain them to clients
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Familiarity with Applied Epic / EZLynx and Salesforce CRM
- Spanish fluency a plus
- Prior agriculture industry experience a plus
Compensation
- Hourly, paid on an invoiced basis.
- Rate commensurate with experience.
- Term: Initial fixed-term engagement with option to renew based on mutual fit and ongoing business need.
- Schedule and method: Contractor sets own working hours and methods, subject to reasonable responsiveness to clients and Seso colleagues.
- Equipment: Contractor provides own workspace and equipment. Seso provides access to required systems (Salesforce, Applied Epic / EZLynx) during the term.
- Taxes: Contractor is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Seso will issue a Form 1099-NEC annually.
