About the role

Riparia Environmental, is seeking seasonal Environmental Restoration Field Technicians to join our teams in Fife, WA.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outside and alongside a team while putting in a full day's work.
Some of the equipment you will be using includes industrial mowers, brush cutters, hedger, hydro-vactor equipment, and occasionally herbicide applicator equipment.

Perform general upkeep of wetland and habitat restoration sites including cleaning and clearing debris.
Whether you're working in the field, supporting operations, or contributing specialized expertise, your work helps create lasting environmental impact.
This is a labor intensive role that will be instrumental in providing support to successful environmental restoration projects.

Experience driving and backing full-size trucks with trailers and equipment.
Experience with the safe operation of power tools such as lawn mowers, brush cutters, vactor equipment, etc.
Overtime may be required.
Local and overnight travel may be required.
Ability to get confined space training and work in confined spaces using safety equipment.
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to work in variable outdoor conditions (heat, rain, rough terrain, etc.).
Ability to frequently bend, and squat throughout shifts.
Ability to carry loads of 30-40 pounds, up to the occasional 90 pounds.
Ability to work long hours and overtime.

Demonstrated leadership experience in and with teams (preferably with a natural resources crew).
Ability to identify invasive plant species and/or noxious weeds.
WSDA Pesticide Applicator License.
