Our Sacramento, California office is on the lookout for a dynamic Mid-level Environmental Planner to join our team!
You'll play a key role in assessing environmental planning and permitting issues and conducting field investigations and research for our diverse range of projects.

Supporting all aspects of a transportation project, including technical approach, and managing subcontractor work, with support from senior staff.
Organizing meetings (such as preparing agendas, developing and presenting meeting content, and preparing summaries).
Authoring and reviewing analytical sections of environmental documents.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

8 years of experience, preferably in environmental consulting or working for a federal/state environmental agency.
3+ years of experience working with and managing complex documents related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Expertise with local government/transportation projects.
Candidate should be familiar with municipal, state, and federal rules and regulations to assist in environmental documentation, project permitting and regulatory compliance.
Experience preparing CEQA and NEPA documents and managing or assisting management of project teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

Bachelor's degree in urban planning, environmental planning, environmental policy or sciences, or related field required, MS preferred.

Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $95,000 - $140,000 annually for this position and local market.
Attend monthly teleconferences, annual workshops, and other meetings or seminars to acquire and enhance knowledge, skills and abilities required to meet program goals and objectives.
