About the role
- Panelmatic is seeking an experienced Tool Crib Attendant to join our team.
- Responsible for managing the daily operation of the tool crib by issuing, receiving, maintaining, tracking, and organizing tools, equipment, and consumable inventory.
- This position helps ensure production and maintenance personnel have the equipment they need while maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing tool loss, and supporting preventive maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient tool crib.
Requirements
- Support preventive maintenance by ensuring technicians have required tools and equipment available.
- Basic knowledge of industrial hand tools, power tools, electrical tools, and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Familiarity with calibration programs and tool maintenance.
- Physical Requirements Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders as needed.
- Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.
Skills
- Job Duties: Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies to employees.
- Inspect returned tools for cleanliness, damage, and proper operation.
- Label and barcode new tools and equipment.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
