About the role

  • Panelmatic is seeking an experienced Tool Crib Attendant to join our team.
  • Responsible for managing the daily operation of the tool crib by issuing, receiving, maintaining, tracking, and organizing tools, equipment, and consumable inventory.
  • This position helps ensure production and maintenance personnel have the equipment they need while maintaining accurate inventory records, minimizing tool loss, and supporting preventive maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient tool crib.

Requirements

  • Support preventive maintenance by ensuring technicians have required tools and equipment available.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial hand tools, power tools, electrical tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with barcode scanners and inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Familiarity with calibration programs and tool maintenance.
  • Physical Requirements Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders as needed.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments with varying temperatures.

Skills

  • Job Duties: Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies to employees.
  • Inspect returned tools for cleanliness, damage, and proper operation.
  • Label and barcode new tools and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
