Work closely with engineers to ensure that all equipment meets design specifications and performance standards.
Lead efforts in assembling machinery and equipment components based on technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Modify and optimize equipment to meet operational requirements and improve performance.
Lead and mentor junior technicians in troubleshooting, offering guidance to enhance their skills and ensure proper system operation.
Perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing equipment, proactively addressing issues to ensure operational continuity and minimize downtime.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to improve equipment longevity and performance.
Work closely with engineers, production teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that all technical aspects of machine builds and systems are thoroughly executed.
Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and providing hands-on training to foster growth and development within the team.
Lead efforts to develop best practices, improve workflows, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of equipment assembly, modifications, test results, and maintenance activities.

3+ years of experience in engineering support, machine assembly, or equipment installation, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, including electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and pneumatic components.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead by example, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced environments.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineering, production teams, and junior technicians effectively.

High school diploma or equivalent
Associate's degree or technical certificate in electro-mechanics, industrial technology, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.

Phoenix Tailings is seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Technician to support the design, assembly, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment at our Burlington, MA.
This position will play a key role in ensuring the functionality of machines and equipment, providing mentorship to junior technicians, and collaborating with engineers to optimize systems and processes.
The ideal candidate will have a solid engineering background with hands-on experience in electro-mechanical systems and a strong ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve manufacturing equipment.
