Responsibilities

  • Civil Science is seeking a driven and experienced Public Works Project Manager to support and grow our public works practice in Utah (Salt Lake City or Lehi Office).
  • You'll lead meaningful municipal infrastructure projects that directly impact the communities we serve, while building strong relationships with local agencies and stakeholders.

  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple active municipal projects
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
  • Deliver high-quality infrastructure projects for city, county, and state agencies
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals and client relationship growth
  • Collaborate with leadership to expand backlog and strengthen market presence
  • Our team of talented engineers, surveyors, planners, and technicians partners with clients across the public and private sectors to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience working with public agency clients
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10+ years of experience in public works or municipal infrastructure projects
  • Experience with city, county, or DOT clients
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D
  • Experience delivering transportation and public works infrastructure projects
  • Ability to travel and meet client needs throughout Utah and potentially in surrounding states.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer
  • and stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a client-facing environment
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer; lift up to 30 pounds; work on active construction sites with uneven terrain, varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels; and stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
  • Business development or proposal support experience
  • Familiarity with regional infrastructure needs and standards
