About the role
- Ensuring practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and the UHN policy and procedure.
- Demonstrating commitment to professional life long learning by participating in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population served and the standards of the profession.
- Performing reflective practice, analyzing and evaluating nursing knowledge and modifying practice accordingly to improve the quality of nursing and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
Requirements
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Upon successful application to this position, the successful candidate will be required to enter a Job Share Agreement.
Nice to have
- 2+ years current Emergency nursing experience preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
- Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) Emergency Nurse certification preferred
- Registration with the RNAO preferred
