About the role
- Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico.
- This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources.
- This project is part our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day administration and coordination of employee relations activities.
- Maintain workforce plans, staffing forecasts, and workforce data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and report to leadership.
- Lead talent review and succession planning processes for key operational and leadership positions, identifying high potential employees and oversee development planning initiatives.
- Implement retention initiatives and monitor workforce stability indicators.
- Lead employee engagement surveys, action planning, and follow-up activities.
- Drive employee recognition programs and service award initiatives.

- Purpose Reporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resources Superintendent will lead the delivery of operational HR programs and services that support workforce capability, employee engagement, workforce stability, and business performance.
- Own workforce reporting, HR metrics, and dashboard preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of Human Resources experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role.
- Experience overseeing workplace investigations and case management.
- Advanced knowledge of employment legislation, employee relations practices and workplace investigations.
- Experience managing workforce risk in operational environments.
- Experience with HRIS, workforce analytics, and talent systems
Compensation
- The base salary range for this position is CAD$138,000 - $168,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- This role is eligible to participate in the Company's annual short term incentive program. The target annual bonus for this position is 25% of base salary, subject to individual and company performance.
