About the role

Pipeline Safety & Compliance Advisor As a Senior Pipeline Safety & Compliance Advisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and regulatory compliance of Washington Gas' natural gas systems.
This is a highly visible, field-connected role where your work directly influences how we operate, inspect, and improve.

You'll be at the center of strengthening our quality and compliance programs-working alongside operations, leadership, and regulators to identify risks, validate performance, and drive meaningful improvements in the field.
Collaborate with leadership and represent the company externally

8+ years of experience in pipeline safety, utility operations, or regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge and practical experience with 49 CFR Parts 191 & 192, including pipeline operations, construction, and incident investigation
Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, environmental science, compliance, or a related technical field is considered an asset

Represent Washington Gas during inspections, audits, and incident response with federal, state, and local regulators
Coordinate across business units-including construction, operations, engineering, safety, and environmental-to ensure regulatory readiness

The role offers a competitive salary range of $94,000 to $136,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
